Scientific Field Trip - Wednesday May 27, 2026

The IRG57 Scientific Field Trip on Wednesday May 27 will include a visit to the Beijing Forestry University's wood products research laboratories, as well as visits to wood use and wood protection sites within the Beijing Metropolitan area. The Field Trip will be open to all IRG57 attendees.

At the registration on the first day, we will distribute T-shirts as novelty goods. Please wear this when participating in the Field Trip.

We will travel to three sightseeing spots by a chartered bus with an interpreter. We will have lunch on the bus.

1.Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum
2.Beijing Longshuncheng Jingzuo Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum
3.Beijing Forestry University's wood products research laboratories

We will split into two groups of two buses and change the order of visiting each group.

Departure (12:30 PM):
1230 (12:30pm) Departure from Nirvana Resort Beijing

Sightseeing (1:00 PM - 6:00 PM):
Group 1:
1300-1500 (1:00-3:00pm) Visit Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum
1500-1630 (3:00-4:30pm) Visit the Beijing Long Shun Cheng Jingzuo Museum of Intangible Cultural Heritage

Group 2:
1300-1430 (1:00-2:30pm) Visit the Beijing Long Shun Cheng Jingzuo Museum of Intangible Cultural Heritage
1430-1630 (2:30-4:30pm) Visit Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum

Group 1 and 2:
1700-1830 (5:00-6:30pm) Visit the Beijing Forestry University's wood products research laboratories
1900-2100 (7:00-9:00pm) Dinner at Beijing Forestry University
2100-2200 (9:00-10:00pm) Return to the Nirvana Resort Beijing
