IRG54 Conference Information
The IRG54 Wednesday excursion is organised as a boat, beach and fun trip to Green Island, one of the inner islands of the Great Barrier Reef.
There are three Companions excursions offered to three distinctive regions. Details on these are available at the IRG54 Companions webpage.
Information on the optional pre-meeting field test and termites tour being held on Sunday May 28 prior to the meeting, is available at this link.
The IRG54 Durability Dash, aka the 5km IRG54 Fun Run/Fun Walk, will be held on Monday May 29 starting at 6am (0600). For information on this event click here.
The conference will be held at the Pullman International Hotel in Cairns.
Delegates are advised to book a room at the conference hotel or other local hotels, several of which are located within 5 min walking distance of the conference hotel.
For transport between Cairns airport and the conference hotels several option are available. Attendees should check out the options through the links on the IRG54 LOC website.
Flight options to Cairns airport (CNS) include direct flights from overseas as well as a range of intra-Australia flights from the other eastern coast Australia gateways of Brisbane (BNE), Sydney SYD) and Melbourne (MEL).
